FoodSpark #18: Innovation Part II, Implementation

This is Part II of a collaborative effort with Midwest Artist Project Services (MAPS) and Sloup. We will build on last month's conversation and workshop ideas that attendees bring. Dinner guests are encouraged to bring an existing idea/project to work on, in addition to a tasty dish to share. MAPS staff will be present to talk about sustainability and other funding options as participants' projects develop further. Assistance will be offered in the form of articulating ideas into projects and forming concrete project pitches that can be used to apply for funding.

ABOUT SLOUP
Sloup is a monthly soup dinner in St. Louis that supports projects, primarily artistic or communicative, that need a little funding and belief. Now dormant, from 2010-2015 Sloup was held on the last Sunday of each month, with soup and snacks provided by local establishments, chefs, and community members, as well as grant recipients returning to share their projects. The event asked for a $10-per-person donation at each dinner (100% of which will go directly into that month’s Sloup Fund), entitling each person to a vote for their favorite proposal.
