This month we will come together to share skills of resistance and collectively build a curriculum to use in the new year.

In addition to bringing a dish to contribute to our potluck meal, we are asking each of you to bring a “skill of resistance” to share and/or teach to the group. This could be a method you use personally to cultivate resistance against biases within yourself, a tool you’ve used with others working together to resist structural or system wrongs, and/or a pearl of wisdom you’ve learned from practicing resistance over the years. Come build with us and sprout seeds of resistance!

This Month's Culinary Theme: Seeds, Sprouts, and Beans

Taking inspiration from the Mexican proverb: “they tried to bury us; they didn’t know we were seeds” this month’s food theme will be: seeds, sprouts, and beans. 

Please bring a dish that includes seeds, sprouts, or beans such as lasagna with pine nuts, sprouted bread, lentil soup, sesame chicken, sprout salad, white bean dip, chia seed pudding, pho, black bean burgers, granola bars, tofu and bean sprout stir fry, spring rolls, bean salad, the list goes on!
