Young Leaders for Civic Change: St. Louis - Gun Violence by Creative Reaction Lab
Young Leaders for Civic Change: St. Louis - Gun Violence bootcamp is a weekend program with a follow-up implementation support program. The on-the-ground implementation support program will consist of face-to-face meet-ups, online engagement, activation of pilots of community interventions, and a program graduation.
“In my family, my black male relatives have yet to make it to the age of 55 due to health complications, drug abuse, and/or gun violence. Only 12 months ago, my 14-year old brother was an unarmed victim of gun violence. From this experience, I have come to realize that gun violence is a product of design. The foundation of Creative Reaction Lab is that systems of oppression, inequalities, and inequities are by design. Therefore, they can be redesigned.” - Antionette Carroll, CEO Creative Reaction Lab
