Gather. Extend. Ideate. Spark.
FoodSpark's Series-Based Structure
Using feedback gathered from FoodSpark community members throughout 2017, FoodSpark recently evolved its monthly platform to engage three, 4-month long Spark series each year. During these fun and diverse food-based experiences, participants receive more chances to 1) gather and engage each other in different platforms, 2) extend and deepen the conversations of each topic and 3) generate collective action as we imagine, shape, and secure funding for ideas that are sparked.
Gather for FoodSpark's community potluck.
We are keeping our traditional potluck format to kick off each series' topic and continue holding space to spark new connections amongst awesome people.
with FoodSpark X.
FoodSpark X are city-wide food gatherings that extend topics through deepened conversations led by community members' self-hosted dinner parties.
Imagine and shape ideas at the FoodSpark Lab.
Held at Venture Cafe, this happy hour will allow you to meet and mingle over beer and wine with creators from all across the city as we help you brainstorm ideas and solutions to the selected topic.
Pitch and support ideas at The Spark dinner.
Inspired by our friends who once organized Sloup, The Spark will complete each FoodSpark series through a dinner party that celebrates the ideas sparked on each topic and crowdfunds a microgrant to bring one to life.
